CMT is a spirit-led camp for children of all faiths that uses the performing arts to cultivate respect for ourselves and others, to communicate human values, to increase concern for our planet, and to grow in relationship with our God.
Children are involved in set, costume and prop construction, creative dramatics, music, and choreographed movement, all culminating in an original musical drama. Kären Salveson, composer, writer and director, conceived the very first Christian Music Theater at Grace Lutheran Church in the summer of 1985.

Dear CMT Family,
The safety of our campers, staff and extended community is one of our highest values; therefore, we are sad to announce that we have cancelled our CMT programs for 2020 as well as other summer programming at Grace. We pushed off this decision as long as we could, hoping that a safe way to host camp would emerge, but since we are being encouraged to stay at home to keep our community safe and healthy, we don’t see that happening this summer. Our hope for this summer is that we could create and offer some new online resources to help encourage community and faith at home, check our website and emails for information about how we can help provide some fun for your family this summer! Our CMT & Grace staff, as well as our Church Council, are monitoring advisories from the State of California, Santa Clara County and the Centers for Disease Control. Until it is safe to gather at our camps again, our prayers are with everyone on the front line in this struggle. Thank you so much for all of your support, and we look forward to summer 2021!
